Farah Fatima, BHS, MA, RP
Registered Psychotherapist (qualifying)
Mental well-being has always been a priority to Farah, and she hopes to help others find their own well-being and peace themselves. We go through so many difficult situations and adjustments in life that can severely impact our mental well-being. Asking for help can be very difficult but she can provides a safe, warm and non-judgmental environment where you can comfortably explore your difficult emotions and thoughts to feel empowered.
She has experience working with teens, young adults, adults and couples dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, anger issues and addictions. In her therapeutic approach, she aims to help clients become more self-aware, to explore the strengths they possess, and learn to develop coping strategies to increase resilience and compassion for themselves.
She uses an integrative approach and tools from evidence-based therapies such as Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. She tailors her approach based on the client’s needs and provides the support needed throughout the healing process to allow them to reach their full potential. Most importantly, she provides a safe space for her clients where they are able to share, explore, and nurture their own mental well-being. She prioritizes working collaboratively with clients, being transparent and respectful, and building a relationship of trust and mutual understanding. She believes that people have the desire to change and provides help and support through that change process by being compassionate and accepting.
